Following your suggestion I have tried to notice Peabody's stuffEditorial Note: After losing the Woodbury suit, Peabody delivered a lecture speaking out against Eddy at Tremont Temple. It was published in pamphlet form as A Complete Exposé of Eddyism or Christian Science and the Plain Truth in Plain Terms Regarding Mary Baker G. Eddy. Eddy's lawyers and others believed he was trying to provoke another libel suit, and so urged caution in responding to Peabody's allegations. as little as possible, and as he did not make a direct statement in the BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts press and the insinuation was so contemptible I tthought best not to notice it. There were a number of points in his tirade which I did not take up. After the Boston Journal and TranscriptEditorial Note: Boston Evening Transcript had sent reporters to me I felt it wise that I should go ahead and answer somewhat in [?] Unclear or illegible  the other papers. It was really a hard problem for me, so difficult to know what Mother would have us do with it, since in times past she had charged me specifically to so particularly to denounce these lies.
