Mrs. O'Brien was just in. I think she is the happiest woman on the earth. She was altogether overcome by her interviewEditorial Note: Sibyl Wilbur had an interview with Mary Baker Eddy for the Boston Herald on May 21, 1905. The interview was reprinted in the June 17, 1905, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel, "An Interview with Rev. Mary Baker Eddy." with Mrs. Eddy and thinks she is the most wonderful woman she ever saw.
I have just received a new picture from Mrs. Belcher which I shall send to you either by messenger or by express. I showed it to Mrs. O'Brien when she was in and she thought it was splendid. She thinks in its delicacy it brings out Mrs. Eddy's true personality better than the pictures we have. I like this very much myself. Of course the face is rather young, but that is not an objection to me.
I leave it to your discretion as to whether or not you show it to Mrs. Eddy. You understand that this is a photograph of Mrs. Belcher's attempt at an oil painting. Mrs. Belcher has used the photographs which were in existence and what she remembers of Mrs. Eddy as she has seen her in public places and on the street at ConcordEditorial Note: Concord, New Hampshire.
I should like very much for the Herald people to have this for their article if it is allowable.
