Dear Mr. Frye:-

I have just received your good letter of the 1stEditorial Note: This letter is not extant.. Allow me to say here that I have often times wished that there was something I could do for you as an expression of my appreciation of your faithfulness to our Leader.

Knowing as much as I do about what you have to contend with constantly I am in a position to appreciate your excellent service. For that reason I would be glad to take off my shoes and give them to you any time and walk home barefootAs Written:bare foot, so please get rid of your exceeding modesty on this subject.

I thank you very much for accepting the little giftEditorial Note: Farlow and his sister, Sarah A. Farlow, had gifted Frye some neckties from Paris, France, which he was reluctant to accept. which has now become a matter of history.
