Editorial Title: Mary A. Baker to Mary Baker Eddy, July 28, 1883
Author: Mary A. Baker
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: July 28, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Mary A. Baker on embossed lined paper from Tilton, New Hampshire.
Editorial Note: Baker tells Mary Baker Eddy that she has been visiting family graves recently at Park Cemetery, Tilton, New Hampshire. After the death of her husband, Asa Gilbert Eddy, on June 3, 1882, Eddy had a monument erected to him and to her parents, Mark Baker and Abigail Baker, in the Baker family lot. The St. Johnsbury Granite Company, which produced the monument, had left off the "k" in "Mark" in Mark Baker's name. Mary A. Baker tells Eddy in detail how this mistake was corrected on the monument. The rest of the letter is largely concerned with family matters.
