The science was in disrepute there. on account of many failures - and too much talk. tho. on inquiry I found that Mrs Philbrick had done some excellent work. but unfortunately As Written: unfortunatly not among very prominent people!!! He could not deny the healing, but took refuge for his failures in fulfilling the whole injunction of the scripture - by calling you and Mr Day and all ScientistsEditorial Note: Christian Scientists blasphemers." I treated all the week before his announced sermon against his harming the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science in that place, and the consequence of the sermon was that the classes have formed an Association - with 18 members - some of them the finest people in the city - one of them a very popular preacher - who has avowed his intention of preaching Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. from his pulpit. The sermon I referred to has been published in pamphlet form - Shall I send you a copy. It had no effect except to disgust even his own members - the more intelligent ones.
