I duly receivedAs Written:recd. but was unable to get the students I have taught here together to organize soon enough to send any delegate to the ConventionEditorial Note: This is a reference to the first “Convention” of the National Christian Scientist Association, held in New York, New York on February 10, 1886. Articles about the formation of the National Christian Scientist Association and its first convention can be found in the January and February 1886 issues of The Christian Science Journal. you spoke of. Then too I had not received the Journal which stated in it what was wanted. I am now teaching another class and when finished we will organize as desired. But I should like to know what the exact plan is so as to know in a definite manner what to do throughout. Without troubling you I will seek the exact information throughAs Written:thro' Miss Brown one of the delegates. I am full of work out here. How plainly discernibleAs Written:discernable is it that the coming rulers among men are to be those who seek the face of the Lord continuallyPs 105:4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. who are determined to be hid with Christ in GodCol 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. , who throwing self and self-seekingAs Written:self seeking to the winds press forward that they may abide under the shadow of the AlmightyPs 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. . One of my students had a demonstration a few weeks ago that has filled me with awe & the community As Written: communty with wonder. Her child was taken with croup in the night. Her husband in alarm wanted to send at once for a physician. No, she replied. She quietly treated the child with the truth, that truth that makes us free. She was she said for an instant filled with the sense that God was all in all, that He was with her. The work was done. The breathing became natural, the child fell asleep & slept quietly until morning. No return on the second or the third night.

I sent an another order for booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy last week to Mr. Frye the first order of 12 being sold almost at once. I want as I wrote him most of them if possible in two volumes.
