My precious Mother

Your dear letterEditorial Note: See H00025. has given me a sense of rest, which I have not had for days. I have grieved because I allowed a fear for you to touch me, and it breaks my heart to think I have caused you one instant of anxiety. How could I have feared for you, when I know just your relation to God, and whose Mission you are fulfilling. That bookEditorial Note: Christ and Christmas by Mary Baker Eddy, published on December 2, 1893. was an inspiration to me the moment I looked upon its illustrations, and I read volumes and my joy was ecstasyAs Written:ecstacy and gratitude. beyond words Then to think I should doubt that whoever did the mechanical work, was not also under spiritual guidance Oh! it was dreadful As Written: draddful & I have been in sackcloth since. The few students who touched me with this are your most devoted students for you say "mine shall be yours," and they see you as the "Holy One" and love you, and as faithfully watch and pray, as I ever saw. the most loyal ScientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist do. Oh! if you were only here to see your children and know the love of these noble men & women who have come out from the worldII Cor 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and are following the Christ and recognizing their royal Leader, you would be sure to see your work, and know the love that goes out to you from those whom your holy life and works have blest I wish you could see the way they have receivedAs Written:recd the "Christ & ChristmasEditorial Note: Christ and Christmas by Mary Baker Eddy, published on December 2, 1893." They study it and we had it in our Students meeting Friday & I read the poem & held up the illustrations for them. Only a part have them We are anxiously awaiting for all to be supplied but Dr writes he cannot get them any faster. Those who felt the mechanical work was not modern art are awake to their error and it has done them good, for it shows them they must watch constantly, or they will be darkened when the hour dawns which is to reveal the risen Christ. They are contrite enough and saw their error, and it has humbled them. They are watching & praying and working, reading the Allegory and striving to obey the voice of the ShepherdAs Written:Shephered, and so darling Mother you will know I am sure that your sheep of this pasture are listening to your voiceJohn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. , heeding your warning and no stranger will they followJohn 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. . Your heart will rejoice in your own. Jesus said "Holy Father keep through thine own name those whom Thou hast given me that they may be one as we areJohn 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. . The Father will keep us, for He has given him "power over all flesh, that he should give eternal Life to as many as Thou hast given him."John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. All we suffer for Truth gives us joy, and we will not fear what m- a. m. seems to do for it has never yet had power to turn us from God & His idea and it never will have for it has no power. Good is all I wish you such a Happy day the 25th I obey you in not sending an expression of love, and all I can do is to tell you this. I am following meekly and prayerfully - losing self, and conquering sense of sin. and loving God and His beloved Son, more and more. Dearest One when will the cloud disappear, and we see face to faceI Cor 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. ? God will keep us all for our Mother, for only sin in us can separate us and we will not sin. Carol sends much love to his dearest and best of all the earth, and I to the "One Altogether lovely."
