Accession: 099.21.008
Editorial Title: Lucretia S. Brown to Mary Baker Eddy, October 1, 1880
Author: Lucretia S. Brown
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: October 1, 1880
Manuscript Description: Handwritten on lined paper by Lucretia S. Brown from Ipswich, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Brown begins by saying she received a letter from Mary Baker Eddy dated September 29, 1880 (not extant). Most of Brown's letter is about her attempts to recruit various people to receive class instruction in Christian Science from Eddy. Brown reports that she was unsuccessful in finding anyone who was willing or ready to do this. She raises the question of her mother taking Eddy's class, and she says that her mother wanted Brown to ask Eddy what the fee would be. If it is reasonable, her mother could be ready to join Eddy's class by the next Thursday.
