Your dear letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. was received this morning, and what a nice long letter you wrote me. I enjoyed reading every word of it. I answerAs Written:ans immediately to tell you how well I am feeling. in writing youEditorial Note: See 120.22.002. of my sick spell last week – in belief – I did not write dear Teacher expecting you to help me. I knew just what you would say to me, I have been taught it all, but in writing you last Sunday morning, I had such a strong current of opposite element not to write you how I felt, that I was determined to do so, after sealing up the letter, I had a severe chemicalEditorial Note: “Chemicalization" is a term Mary Baker Eddy used to refer to a temporary stirring up of symptoms or process of “fermentation” as errors of various types are being destroyed., kept my bed all day. all day somethingAs Written:some thing kept saying to me, dont send that letter to Mrs Eddy with your feelings of beliefs As Written: beleifs expressed. then at night when I sent it downstairsAs Written:down stairs to go in the night mail – I began immediately to feel better. I arose Monday morning feeling perfectly well, and I know it was because I did what the opposite element was determined I should not do, my expressing my thoughts and feelings to you– if in writing or verbally As Written: verbaly I am greatly strengthened, not dear teacher that I depend on you, for I depend wholly on God, divineAs Written:devine PrincipleAs Written:Principal — but my thought coming in contact with yours strengthens it. and I feel it whether with you, or away from you thinking of you. I appreciate your kindness, Love and faithfulness to your Student. to spend your valuable time in writing and advising me. I had a nice letter from Mrs Dr Harris this week. now about the Journal, are they to be issued every month this year. I thought I understood Mr Cox to say so, or are they to be issued once in two months. I have two Subscribers for you. I think if you could hear him preach now, you would feel proud of your girl, and think that she had began through your teachings to understand God, divineAs Written:devine PrincipleAs Written:Principal aright. and I try to live each day so that I may feel that through me he will heal the sick, and cast out error.
