Editorial Note: Atkinson had called on Mary Baker Eddy the previous day (February 4, 1877). In this
letter, he tells Eddy that he was disappointed when she told him to come without his
wife. He says he will study with Eddy at such time as his wife is able to be in the
class as well. Atkinson and his wife were in Eddy's February 1877 class.
