Perhaps I did not do right in not coming to see you last evening, but I noticed that you only asked if I were coming, and I feared that after all I might be obtruding, and it was suggested to me that you would probably prefer to be alone. At any time I should enjoy your company and profit by your conversation, but I must not be obtrusive

I spent the night at the [?] Unclear or illegible  . S. Hotel as the guest of Mr. Bradford, in whose office I am writing. The evening I spent in the company of Mr Wiggin.

I am planning to be able to be with you at the Association on Wednesday; but I do not yet know whether I can effect it, as I have written for friends to look for me in ConnecticutAs Written:Conn. on Tuesday As Written: Teusday (tomorrow). We'll see.

I pray God to continue to bless you and your work.

With much respect
I am Yours
