Boston people had told him,- evidently to poison his mind against you, but such things can only influence for a little, the Truth, like a cork must come to the surface sooner or later, and when it does, it will be all the more valuable. I hear of a National Metaphysical Convention, called in Chicago about September, Is it ours, or Swarts & co?

I have had the pleasure of a call from Mrs Hall of Denver, and her daughter Minnie. They are still in S-J-Editorial Note: Possibly San Jose, California and expect to remain another Month. How I wish you could come, and plant the seedMatt 13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. Matt 13:2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. Matt 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; Matt 13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Matt 13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: Matt 13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Matt 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: Matt 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Matt 13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. as no one but you can; I am doing the best I can, but I so much need your knowledge and understanding & experience. Could you not come and start a College for us. I think if you would, that you would find a few who would guard the sacred treasure; even to the last of Material Sense, (so called) My class wish me to give their love to Mrs Eddy and assure her that a cordial reception awaits her in California which I hope will not be long.

Please send me a form of application for a charter and any other hint in my present position that you may think I need.

Mrs A- and myself reciprocate your love, asalso the love of all my brethren & Sisters in the Truth.

As ever, Your devoted Student
Joseph Adams.
