In regard to the matter of necessary residence for purposes of copyright I was unable yesterday to satisfy myself on that point - did not have time to look up the matter thoroughly because of other engagements which occupied my time. I am obliged to go to New York tonight - shall return Tuesday. when I will write you again. So far as I am at present informed there is no actual time specified that a person must actually remain in Canada in order to gain a residence necessary for the purposes of obtaining a copyright. I suppose it must be such a residing there as is generally understood by such word. However I will write you about it hereafter-
