Editorial Note: Philbrick has read in Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, that Eddy used to suffer when healing the sick but no longer does so. She asks Eddy
to explain to her how she can move beyond suffering when treating others. After recounting
some outstanding cures from her practice of Christian Science, Philbrick gives an
example of a case in which she suffered while healing, experiencing the same symptoms
that the patient had.
