My Dear Mrs. Eddy,

Miss Brach, a student of Belle's in November - wishes me to write and ask you for your terms in the first course - as she wishes to take it again with you - and finds she can now accomplish it – she wants to know if you will make any reduction from the 1st price – as she has already paid $100-Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1887 is the equivalent of $3,300.16 in 2024. for the course. She is an earnest worker, & has done some good work already – but feels that she must have the course with you – and I have encouraged her to take it- I have just finished with my first class of four, and althoughAs Written:altho' very timid about undertaking the work, as Belle has heretofore done all the teaching, I am glad now that I was obliged to teach – for it has developed so much thought and purpose that lay dormant – The enemy lays in wait for the new students – & I feel the great responsibility that devolves on me, to prevent, as far as possible - their discouragement and failure –

Will it be convenient to send the certificates soon? I have not yet receivedAs Written:rec'd my Normal certificate – & would like four for my students — Belle is still in the East, but I hope she will return soon —
