Editorial Note: This is a letter of gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy. Smith reports that he spends several hours each day studying the Bible and Science and Health. He is gaining much, both spiritually and physically. He hopes to "receive" Eddy if she comes to Washington, DC. He also reports that his wife is suffering but that she is trying to study Science and Health. She is also grieved by the recent death of a well-loved sister.
