Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Eldridge J. Smith on lined printed stationery of the Elastic Chair
Company from Hartford, Connecticut.
Editorial Note: Smith is in Hartford, Connecticut, visiting friends. He mentions his friends' invalid
son and says that he'd intended to stay only a few hours but instead is staying until
Monday. He claims that he and Mary Baker Eddy are in a kind of telepathic contact
with each other, sending and receiving messages. He writes that Eddy never needs to
question his devotion to the cause of Christian Science. The second page includes
some of the products of the Elastic Chair Company.
