Editorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy had sent a telegram to Smith, asking him to come to Boston. He would
like to know why she wants him there, and he would like to be there with her, but
his business is currently in such a state that to leave it at present and go to Boston
could mean financial ruin. He hopes to receive a letter from Eddy that will relieve
his anxiety.
