Accession: 480.55.023
Editorial Title: Edward J. Arens to Ella M. Hollis, July 24, 1878
Author: Edward J. Arens
Recipient: Ella M. Hollis
Date: July 24, 1878
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Edward J. Arens on lined paper from Lynn, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Arens has been treating Hollis for deafness but her case has not yet yielded. He tells her that deafness is one of the most difficult conditions to heal, but the healing of it is certainly possible in Christian Science. Indeed, says Arens, he has healed even more difficult cases as a Christian Science practitioner and tells Hollis the only reason her case has not yet yielded to treatment is that she had previously been treated by mesmerism [presumably by Daniel H. Spofford].
