Several weeks ago, at a meeting of the C.S.A. of this cityEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois, an application, according to the requirements of the rules & regulations of the Parent Society in Boston, for a Charter, was signed by all the members present. Being urgently solicited, I also signed the application. Soon after, upon reflection, it occurred to me that not being fully developed in ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, my name might cause embarrassment to our Beloved Teacher, even causing her to hesitate in granting the Charter.

Now my Brother, this is to give your authority to expunge my name from the applicationAs Written:app. and thus remove the barriers, if any should exist on my account, that this charter may be issued,

At the same time meeting, a communication in the nature of answers to certain questions by our most respected Teacher, was read. And by an almost unanimous vote accepted and ordered placed on file, also by an almost unanimous vote of the AssociationAs Written:Ass, the committee on publication was ordered to have a number printed for the use of the members of the Society Our SecretaryAs Written:Sect’y said he would have a copy ready in a day or two, after waiting several days and not getting the promised copy, I called on the SecretaryAs Written:Sect’y, and to my surprise found he had sent the copy back to the author for revision As Written: rivision &c, I have not heard from it since,

Hoping that I have not presumed too much on your valuable time I remain your Brother in Truth
