"I received your answer to my letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. just now" - & am Sorry my meaning was misunderstood. I wanted to enter a class as a student - with a friend of mine - & I could learn this ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science of others but nearer home - but they do not follow your rules of treating nor in fact do not believe in it - but rather prefer Evans works - & I want to learn of you - for I thought perhaps if you taught me I might get the Spiritual understanding from you that I could from no one Else" - & "that" is what I meant would heal me - & not that I expected you to treat me any more than you do any of your Students - & that I mean

Teaching me - I hope I trust you will answer the Proposition I made you anyway - or if you would like us to come a few days Sooner we will - & talk with you - about it. I will do the best I can to raise $100 dollarsEditorial Note: 100.00 although how I cannot see now. I first went to you to Study this ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science - & this will make my second trip to you - if you will allow me to enter as a student - & I hope you will not Exclude me because I am an Invalid - & I don’t As Written: dont believe you will of course - if you knew how much in need this part of the county is of a good ScientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist - & how many then are Pretending to be such - & Teaching Contrary to your rules - you would at least give two who are in Earnest - & want to find out the Truth of this Teaching - a chance to try - if we did not succeed in making - good ScientistsEditorial Note: Christian Scientists - at least - we would not try to make harm out of what we did learn. & mislead others".
