I have read of wonderful cures being effected through Faith, VitapathyEditorial Note: Vitapathy was a medical system founded by John Bunyan Campbell (b. 1820). Campbell held that the vital life force (“vita”) would cure disease (“pathy”) when introduced into an ailing body. This life force could be brought into the body through various means, including eating wholesome food, breathing fresh air, magnetism, electricity, etc. et ceteraAs Written:&c, but have only lately heard anything of Mrs. Eddy's Christian Science, & only enough of it to awaken a great desire to know more. If its claims can be substantiated, it is just the religion I have been years waiting for- Will you please tell me how I can gain a thorough knowledge of the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science with the least expense (as my means are limited) & what time it would be best for me to begin the study?

I am fifty-threeAs Written:fifty three years of age, but will that number of years debar me from learning the truths of Christ? - Could you suggest any part of the study that I could advantageously pursue As Written: persue at home? & what would be the probable expense of the course of study?

If you will please favor me with an early answer, you will invite the lasting
