My Dear Teacher: I have just recd your circular in regard to terms for Normal Class &c. When I was in the Primary Class I understood the terms for the Normal Class to be $100Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1887 is the equivalent of $3,300.16 in 2024., and at present I am not quite prepared to pay the $200Editorial Note: $200.00 in 1887 is the equivalent of $6,600.33 in 2024., as per As Written: pr notice in Circular. Since I have been here I have done considerable work among the people who did not have funds to pay me, I have never turned the poor away from my door. I have recd money As Written: mony enough to pay family expenses and a little more but not so I can pay in advance the two hundred dollars required. Can any different arrangement As Written: arrangment be made? What shall I do? Please answer.—
