Archival Note: A notation on the letter indicates that it was answered on February 4, 1884.
Editorial Note: Bombeck sends $1 ($27.69 in 2017) for a subscription to The Christian Science Journal and asks for Eddy's help in furthering the cause of Christian Science in Missouri.
Bombeck has been trying her best to introduce people to Christian Science, encouraging
them to subscribe to the Journal, but she hasn't yet met with great understanding. She is also struggling because
she and her husband are both in need of healing. Bombeck expresses her regret at being
unable to take a class with Eddy the previous fall and asks Eddy to send one of her
students to Missouri to help as a healer. She is prepared to board someone for a year
or until they found a better place. Eddy's answer to Bombeck is not extant.
