Accession: 645A.66.014
Editorial Title: S. S. Barnard to Mary Baker Eddy, September 10, 1883
Author: S. S. Barnard
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: September 10, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by S. S. Barnard on embossed lined paper from Boston Highlands (Roxbury), Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Barnard tells Mary Baker Eddy that she is still unable to enter one of Eddy's classes in Christian Science, due to financial constraints. She adds that she has two friends who have been given up by physicians. The friends have turned to Barnard for Christian Science treatment through prayer, and Barnard says both are improving. She writes that even if it is a long time before she is able to take class with Eddy, she will know that "a wiser Hand" is in control. She says she is currently staying with a friend but is hoping to find a situation as a companion to an invalid.
