H. Bradley and Rachel Bradley
have been acceptable members of the Methodist Church in Roslindale, Massachusetts.
(It was commonplace in Mary Baker
Eddy's time, and still is today, for a church to write a letter
vouching for the Christian character and good standing of someone leaving his or her
current church and planning to join a new one.)
