I wish to write to you in regard to my health; I scarcely know where to begin; I have been taking treatments for some time, but dont seem to get much reliefAs Written:releif; I have no faith in medicine & feel that my only hope is in something above medicine; Since my boy was born eight years ago next June I have been breaking down in health so with worry, overwork, and care I have dragged a miserable existence As Written: existance for years; but the Last year has been worse than all Last May I was taken ill & lay on the bed almost five month with about every As Written: evry ailment that human flesh is heir to; I have had Kidney As Written: Kiddny trouble and all that accompanies it with a stoppage of monthly courses for eight month; and during my illness I had Pneumonia again having had it in March before since then my Lungs have been sore & painful but for the Last five or six weeks I have suffered indescribable As Written: indesciable misery As Written: misry with them as well as the pain I suffer from other causes;

Now I have told you all and unless you can help me I dont see that there is any help for me; please Let me hear from you; please let me know what your charge is.

And Let me trouble you still farther. I have a poor orphan girl working for me who has nearly lost her sight through having her eyes scalded & then straining them in her efforts to get an education she has spent all her scanty earnings in trying to have them restored but it has been fruitless & physicians give her no hope; what can you do for her.

Yours in hope
