Accession: 660B.70.060
Editorial Title: A. Jane Cutler to Mary Baker Eddy, December 3, 1883
Author: A. Jane Cutler
Recipient: Mary Baker Eddy
Date: December 3, 1883
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by A. Jane Cutler on embossed lined paper from Westfield, Massachusetts.
Editorial Note: Cutler describes a number of severe symptoms that she has. She feels that at least some of them may ultimately be related to menopause. She has received Christian Science treatment through prayer from Eddy's student, Hosea E. Stone, but she has not been healed. She has read in The Christian Science Journal that Eddy has healed hundreds of people, and she is now seeking treatment from Eddy. Cutler does not believe she is physically capable of traveling to Boston for Eddy to treat her and is wondering if Eddy can come to her. She prays that Eddy will agree to help her and describes herself as "the most discouraged of mortals." A notation on the letter says it was answered on December 7, 1883. The answer is not extant.
