Archival Note: We have no evidence that Davis ever took a class from Mary Baker Eddy.
Editorial Note: Davis writes that Calvin A. Frye has informed her that Eddy would like to hear from Davis about taking a class with
her at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College. Davis says she will not be able to
study with Eddy until the fall because she cannot afford the tuition before then.
She writes that she is currently providing nursing care for a woman, but says that
as soon as she can, she will come see Eddy and will let Eddy know when to expect her.
She asks for information about the class and Eddy's terms. She is resolved, if God
is willing, to study with Eddy and learn Eddy's mode of healing (Christian Science).
