Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Lucy H. Goodnough on lined paper from Vallejo, California.
Editorial Note: Goodnough has read Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health, and she feels there may be hope for her to be healed of her illnesses (rheumatism
and a tumor), if Eddy would be willing to send her healing power to California. She
adds that she is a member of the Congregational Church. She closes by asking Eddy
if she thinks she can cure Goodnough, and she is anxiously awaiting Eddy's reply.
A notation on the letter says it was answered on November 3, 1883. The answer is not
extant.
