Recently I received a letter from Mrs Meader, Rockland MassachusettsAs Written:Mass. wishing me to write to you for treatment. First I would like to know, if in following your directions, I should be obliged to discontinue the course of treatment I am now receivingAs Written:receieving. 2ond what are your terms, and shall I be obliged to go East.

About three months ago the Dr informed me that I had a cancer on the womb, I then went to Ann ArborEditorial Note: Ann Arbor, Michigan, and after a thorough examination and consultation, it was deemed too As Written: to dangerous to have an operation as the entire organ would have to be removed. Since that time with exception of a few weeks I have been in constant pain, except while under the influence of Morphine, Sometimes the pain is in the region As Written: regeion of the Womb, at other times near the rectum, extending down to the knees. Have much difficulty in passing water, and have considerable pain when the bowels move, have to take injections or something to move the bowels most of the time. Have not much appetite, and have been sick to my stomach a great deal. My courses are regular, but not offensive. Countenance clear, no indication of blood poisoning, The course pursued As Written: persued by the Dr, is as often as needed, in removing the new growth. am taking but very little medicine, and the object in taking what I do is, to stop the circulation as much as possible around the disease. My age is 45 years 9 month, 5 year ago I gave birth to a baby, was very sick. have not been well since that time, for the last year a year and a half, have suffered a great deal, a constant ache. The Dr gives but very As Written: vey little encouragement of a cure, but hopes to keep it where it is for a time and then it may gradually As Written: gradualy dry up. The Drs at Ann Arbor thought I might live a year, with care, possibly longer,, Do you think it can be cured or helped?

Yours respectfully As Written: respectfuly
Mrs A. F. Kelly.
