Ere this, you have received, a letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. from my friend Mrs James Bell introducing me as being desirous of becoming one of your Students. A little more than two years, I have been a resident of California, having gone there, for Catarrh in my head. (deluded creature) realizing there was little improvement in my condition, only Last Spring I had the good fortune, to meet with a Miss Cooley, that had been cured, from ConsumptionEditorial Note: Now commonly referred to as tuberculosis. by a Mrs Hill in San Francisco. Miss C– learned the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science & came to Los Angeles where I reside, she was armed for the great work, & has succeeded beautifully, I was one of her earliest Patients & in a few weeks, she had me strong enough, in both body & mind, to return to this CityEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois & encounter the severe changes, & overcome the immense volume of Lake Michigan, Miss Cooley being a personal friend of mine. I have had, quite an insight into the Science, but not a regular course by any means "Now I am thirsting for the Truth," & one of the happiest moments of my life shall be, when I can call myself. "one of your Students." I call myself healed, & am better than I have been for years, & my powers of endurance are wonderful. My constant companion is, "Science & Health."Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy & now feel equal to almost any emergency. If everything As Written: every thing is satisfactory to you, would prefer joining the SeptemberAs Written:Sep Class, as that time will suit me the best.

I think now of returning to CaliforniaAs Written:Cal the Month of Nov– Hoping to hear from you at your earliest convenience
