Dear Madam

I am very much interested in Christian Science As Written: science as related to physical ill (if you will allow the expression) I called a week ago to see Mrs. Jones in PortlandEditorial Note: Portland, Maine, she was not in, while I sat waiting for her another lady. called, who is also familiar with the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science She told me, she told me she had acquired her knowledge at your college, and when I told her what I wished for myself, she told me, I better write to you and perhaps some way might be opened I have not the money to pay for the knowledge I wish to acquire, but I thought I might do something for my board, and perhaps partly pay other fees It is my desire to become competent to practice what I might be taught I am married, have four children, my husband is a builder, it is a good trade, if a person could always get the building to do, and I find we have as many more wants, than his hands can supply, I thought perhaps I might help in this way I have a good education, and having no prejudices to overcome and already have faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ It seems to me that I could not only aid myself. but be a means of helping others I shall be greatly obliged if you will reply.
