Manuscript Description: Handwritten letter by R. W. Laird on the printed stationery of the St. Johnsbury Granite
Company, from St. Johnsbury, Vermont.
Editorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy had ordered a monument to her husband, Asa Gilbert Eddy, and to her parents, Mark Baker and Abigail Baker. Laird writes that the St. Johnsbury Granite Company is ready to ship the monument, to be set up in the Baker family lot in Park Cemetery,
Tilton, New Hampshire. They want to hear from Eddy immediately if she is able come
and see the monument when it arrives. If they don't hear from her, they will have
to hold off on shipping the monument.
