Mrs Eddy,
Dear Madam: -

I wrote you while in BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts in June in regard to my daughterEditorial Note: Possibly Ethel Thompson Cornelius (nee Seal) (1868-1916) or Harriet F. Seal (1864-1949) and self-studyingAs Written:self studying Christian ScienceAs Written:C.S. We still intend coming, and hope the way will open for us to do so this Fall, but cannot yet tell about that.

I write you now in regard to a lady who wishes to study but has not the means, and will have to go on your charitable list. She is sixty years of age, a widow left poor,

She is an Orthodox friend or Quaker as you call them in Boston, a woman alive to reform, full of a desire to help her suffering fellows, capable of understanding Christian Science, has been reading your booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and likes them very much, believes she could do much good by practicingAs Written:practicising Christian ScienceAs Written:C.S.

She is an absent minded person unless she pins herself to a point - that is the only thing I see in the way of her success, and studying may so overcome that it may never stand in her way, but I thought it right to mention it. Will you take her as a pupil without remuneration?

She would prefer the Oct. class but will attend the Sep. if you prefer.

Her name is Phebe A. Leeds.

Respectfully Yours,
Mrs. W. T. Seal.
