Manuscript Description: Handwritten by James E. Wolfe on lined stationery of "The Word of Truth," a weekly
temperance publication, published in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and edited by Wolfe.
Editorial Note: Wolfe has received a letter from Mary Baker Eddy (not extant). He says he would be
glad to call on Eddy to discuss the topic of her letter. He reports that he was assaulted
by a rum seller, but that there was a glorious victory for temperance. He asks Eddy
to write to him again when convenient and to contribute an article now and then to
his publication.
