In reply to your enquiryEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. asking me respecting securing copyright and getting a first-class publisher of your book Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in England.—

I could mention several, but there is one gentleman who I think would be willing to secure your copyright and publish your bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, with whom I am personally acquainted, a man of the highest integrity and with a wide connection in theological circles,

Mr. Elliot Stock

62 Paternoster Row

This gentleman is not so bigoted As Written: bigotted as some, and a hypotheses that he may not fully endorse, he frequently publishes for the consideration of an enquiring public.

I would suggest to you – as you seem to be in a hurry - to send this gentleman 5 advance copies throughAs Written:thro' the mail, putting his imprint on the title page (should he not approve of this I am sure he will oblige you by getting a publisher – perhaps Longmans or Hodder & Stoughton, and if you ask him, have title-page re-set with name of the permanent publisher in place of his own. I only suggest this as an alternative; as I think he will be publisher himself). The expense of entry at Stationer's HallEditorial Note: The Stationers' Company, located at Stationers’ Hall, is one of the livery companies of the City of London. will not be considerable, and with any charge he may make for his own trouble, the whole bill will be quite small. I should think if you remitted the value of a $ 5 billEditorial Note: $5.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $137.67 in 2020. throughAs Written:thro' the postal order office it would more than cover all incidentals.

If you are successful in securing Mr Stock, you will secure a good man

Truly
W Kellaway
