Manuscript Description: Sermon by Mary Baker Eddy in the handwriting of Calvin A. Frye (as scribe), with some edits and corrections in Eddy’s handwriting.
Archival Note: This document contains editorial marks, added underlines, as well as deletions and insertions.
Editorial Note: Although it is labeled as an extract, this appears to be the entire sermon. It was given by Eddy at Hawthorne Hall. A report in The Christian Science Journal of February 1885 observed, "a man who went into Hawthorne Hall on crutches, but the power of the Truth as she gave it utterance, set him free from his infirmities, and he went home without his crutches!" This same issue of the Journal also included an extract of this sermon and this extract was later published by Eddy in Miscellaneous Writings 1883-1896, pp. 171-176.

Subject
Science of Mental Healing.

"For the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till the whole was leavened." Matt. 13. 33.Matt 13:33 ¶Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Few people at present know aught of the science of mental healingEditorial Note: Christian Science, and so many are obtruding their ignorance, or false knowledge on the public in the name of science it behooves all clad in its shining mail to keep bright their armor, invincible their demonstration modest their claims and their lives steadfast in Truth. ¶ Dispensing the Word charitably but separating the tares and the wheatMatt 13:24 ¶Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: Matt 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Matt 13:26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. Matt 13:27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? Matt 13:28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? Matt 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Matt 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. let us declare the positive and negative of metaphysical scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science, what it is, and what it is not; intrepid, self-oblivious Protestants in a higher sense than ever before, to meet and defeat the claims of sense and sin regard less of the bans or clans pouring in their fire upon us; while white-wingedAs Written:white winged charity brooding over all would cover with her soft feathers the veriest sinner.

Then shall the angel of His presence, holding the "little book" spoken of in the Apocalypse, with right foot on the sea and left foot on the earth measure the temple of our God, and the altar, and them that worship thereon.Rev 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: Rev 10:2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, Rev 10:8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. Rev 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. Rev 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. For Truth and Life have come near the understanding and touched the waters of unconscious mortal thought with the rightful reign of science and the body, the temple upon which that thought rests with a bane or a benediction, must be made the temple of Truth. The divine and unerring Mind measures man, until the three measures be accomplished, and he arrives at the fullness of the statureEph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: ; "for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Science is divine it is neither of human origin nor direction; that which is termed natural science, the evidences whereof the five personal senses take in, presents but a finite, feeble sense of the infinite law of God, which law is written on the heart, received through the affections, spiritually understood and demonstrated in our lives. This law of God is the science of Mental HealingEditorial Note: Christian Science; spiritually discerned understood and obeyed. ¶ Science is absolute, final, eternal; a royal road to harmony, it voices law with more than regal majesty; an autocrat from an atom to immensity, the universal alchemy whose touch turns to gold. Human reason bows before it, at first it quarrels with it, denies and defies it, then beholding its principle and the majesty of its reign, saith, "Thy kingdom come on earth as in heaven."Matt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Mental science and the five personal senses are at war and peace can only be declared on the side of immutable right, the health, holiness and immortality of man. To gain this scientific result the first and fundamental rule of science must be understood and adhered to. namely, the oft-repeatedAs Written:oft repeated declaration in Scripture that God is good, hence good is omnipotent and omnipresent. The Lord God omnipotent reigneth Rev. "If the Lord be God follow Him" 1 Kings 18. 21I Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. . "Unto thee it was shewed that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none beside him." Deut. 4. 35Deut 4:35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him. . "For if it be of God ye cannot overthrow it" Acts 5. 39Acts 5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. . Jesus declared the reign of divine Science and his Messianic mission in this— "Go and show John again those things ye see and hear, the blind receive their sight the lame walk the lepers are cleansed , the deaf hear"Matt 11:4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: Matt 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. etc.

Ancient and modern philosophy, human reason or man's theorems misstate mental science its Principle and practice. The most enlightened material sense sees nothing but a law of matter where it is a law of Mind, from this basis of evidence the body can affect the mind but the eye cannot see how Mind affects the body. Who hath ever learned of the schools that there is but one Mind, and this is God who healeth all our sicknessesPs 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; and sins? Who has ever learned from the schools of pagan philosophy or scholastic theology that science is the law of Mind and not of matter, and this law has no relation to or recognition of matter! Mind is its own great cause and effect, Mind is God, omnipotent and omnipresent. What then of an opposite so-called science that saith man is both matter and mind and his mind is in matter Can the infinite be within the finite or can man resist the All and Only does an evil mind exist without space to occupy power to act or vanity to pretend it is man. If God is Mind and filleth all space, is everywhere, matter is nowhere and sin obsolete

If Mind, God, is all-power As Written: allpower and presence man is not met by another power and presence that obstructing his intelligence pains, fetters, and befools him making his body akin to his mind. The perfection of man and the universe are intact. Whence then is something beside Him which not the counter part but the counterfeit of his Creator? Not from Him yet "he made all."John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. not the man of his creating for he made man in his own likenessGen 1:26 ¶And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. . Whence then is the atom or molecule called matter? Hath attraction and cohesion formed it? But what are these forces, laws of matter or laws of Mind? The Scriptures hath declared them laws of Mind, forces of His thoughts, consolidating in to myriad manifestations and identities all forms of beauty and good and these forms from an atom to the infinite from the tiniest dust or night-glowingAs Written:night glowing insect up to man reflect the one Life Truth and Love.

For matter to be matter, it must have been self-created. Mind hath no more power to evolve or to create matter than good to produce evil. Matter is a misstatement of Mind a lie claiming to talk and disclaim against Truth a supposed serpent in the first instance and a subtlety in the nextGen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? death over life, idolatry having other godsEx 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. , evil having power and presence over omnipotence and omnipresence If mortal foot treads on forces these forces defy mortal reason and strength when misnamed matter and man bows the knee to BelialII Cor 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? , error, misnamed mind. Matter was created as the opposite of or by the opposite of Mind and science reveals this impossible As Written: impossibile since nothing but the immutable law of Mind is divine order and its phenomena in harmony with it . Whatever is an inward misconception of the outward, a material sense of Mind or a species of the opposite species, is error, and you may call it matter or mortal mind but you will have to learn at last it is neither one since Spirit and its spiritual forms of thought are the only realities of being

Now let us have a clearing up of abstractions, let us come into His presence and bow before Him, let us praise his name for he is greatly to be adored who removeth all our iniquities and healeth all our diseasesPs 103:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Ps 103:2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Ps 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; . Let us attach our sense of science to what touches the religious sentiment with awe and conviction let us open our hearts, affections, to Truth and Love the Principle of all science that mould character influence motives and heals all that is sick moveing in every direction of harmony from the falling of a sparrowMatt 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. to the rolling of a world

The science of Mental healingEditorial Note: Christian Science is at home in the heart, it adorns human character with the reflection of the divine, it bringeth into our common life the gentle amenities and sweet amends for absent heaven that tell of self-forgetfulness, meekness, charity. Now have we the actual of the science of mental healing,"the little leaven that leavens the whole lumpGal 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. , "that giveth health to mind and body, that casts out devils, error, and heals all manner of diseases. This natural effect of mental science personal sense is incapable of comprehending it, may seem supernatural But science is the method of God that always declares him, from the least to the greatestJer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. — in the eternal rhythm As Written: rythm of creation

Now have we science reaching beyond the so-called As Written: socalled granule of matter to explain how an atom of infinite thought , attracts and makesgoodnes and how this Mind revealing itself in atoms of thought to finite sense is first misnamed matter next mortal mind and the revelation a law of matter. Now have we Mind constituting all things and the essence and aroma of good flavoring all substance life and intelligence. Above Arcturus and his sonsJob 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide
Arcturus with his sons?
broader than the universe and higher than the heavens of your astronomy is the science of mental healing.

" The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until the whole was leavened"

What is the kingdom of heaven? The abode of Spirit the realm of the real no matter is there no night is thereRev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. all tears are wiped awayRev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. nothing is there that maketh or worketh a lieRev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. . Is this kingdom afar off? No it is here everpresent but the personal senses say it is not here and matter is the realm of mind and there is something beside Him the first that declares against this Kingdom of heaven is matter Shall that be called heresy which pleads for Spirit, the all of God and not a part, which maintains his omnipotence and omnipresence against the lie of the senses and the false education of the schools, which casts out the leaven of error that would leaven the whole lump of being with sin sickness and death and casts in the little leaven of Truth that man's being may be found Truth Life and Love .

The kingdom of heaven is the reign of divine science, the supremacy of harmony, a mental state Jesus said "the kingdom of heaven is already within you"Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. he taught us to pray "thy kingdom comeMatt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. but he did not teach us to pray for death whereby to gain heaven . We do not look into darkness for light death can never usher in the dawn of science the spiritual facts of man's existence we are to find them through Life and here and now. Then shall we learn that flesh doth not inform us of happiness Know ye not brethren that "flesh and blood doth not inherit the kingdom of God"I Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. .

The "leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal" is divine science, the "Comforter that leadeth into all truth"John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. , the Holy Ghost, the still small voiceI Kings 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: I Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. that breathes His presence and power casting out error and healing the sick and woman, a spiritual idea, takes of the things of God and showeth them unto the creature until the whole sense of being is leavened with Spirit. The three measures of meal are the material sense of life substance and intelligence which saith I am sustained by bread, matter, instead of Mind and the spiritual leaven, divine science, changes this false sense giving better views of life which saith man's life is God and when this shall appear he shall be like unto him in gloryI John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. shall reflect the graces of Spirit and his sense of substance shall go up higher it shall be "the substance of things hoped for"Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. . "Happiness "our being's end and aim"Editorial Note: “O happiness! our being’s end and aim!” is a line from a poem by Alexander Pope (1688-1744), found in Epistle IV of his "An Essay on Man". the very substance of all desire can be found here. The brotherhood of man, and the womanhood of God is revealed through this most spiritual idea, for "God is Love."I John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. The measures of Life shall increase in their fullness of joyPs 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. by every spiritual touch even as the leaven expands the loaf. Man should keep the feast of life not with the old leaven of the Scribes and PhariseesMatt 16:5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. Matt 16:6 ¶Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. Matt 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. Matt 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Matt 16:9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Matt 16:10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Matt 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Matt 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. neither with "the leaven of malice and wickedness but the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."I Cor 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

From the little said I hope you have seen that the science of mental healing needs to be understood that there are "false Christs that would deceive if possible the very elect"Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. instituting matter and its methods in place of God, Mind, and because this Mind is not understood obeyed or demonstrated. The supposition of a mortal mind is the foregone conclusion that there are other minds than His; that one mind controls another and one belief takes the precedence of another belief and the stronger error casts out the weaker and takes possession itself making the last state of that man worse than the firstLuke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. But this barbarism of today has nothing to do with the science of mental healing which acquaints us with God reveals the one perfect Mind and his unerring law while it denies all that is unlike Him giving neither place nor power to matter or mortal belief that turneth away from the only loving and true God having lords many and gods manyI Cor 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) I Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. .

The attempt to mix matter and Mind working by means of animal magnetism and divine power, in the name of metaphysical healing is literally denying Him saying "have we not in thy name cast out devils and done many wonderful works"Matt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? . When I remember O Zion with healing in thy wingsMal 4:2 ¶But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. thy walls were salvation and thy gates praiseIsa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise. . Who art thou oh man that replyest against GodRom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? since there is none beside himIsa 45:5 ¶I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. ? Cast thou the little leaven of divine science into thy lump of sin until the whole be leavened and sin sickness fear doubt and dismay have fled ask thyself to remember God in all thy waysProv 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. then shalt thou find that Truth shall make you freeJohn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. . Omnipotence acknowledged and understood breaks the dream of sense letting the harmony of science that declares Him come into your life with healing and peace even the perfect love that casteth out fearI John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. . If you have toiled all night and caught nothing launch out deeper cast your net upon the other sideLuke 5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of
Gennesaret,
Luke 5:2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. Luke 5:3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Luke 5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. Luke 5:6 And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
the side of Spirit learn of the one Mind he will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is staid on GodIsa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. . If you are in pain of body you will silence this supposed testimony of matter with the truth of Spirit for Mind is omnipotent and the great and only Physician then if you are weak you shall be strong if you are sorrowing you shall be comfortedMatt 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. "thy kingdom shall come and thy will be done on earth as in heavenMatt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. for Mind is all here and hereafter seen through the divine lens of mental science that divides the rays of beauty into their original hues of Spirit harmony holiness and immortality.

" [?] Unclear or illegible  The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures m of meal until the whole was leavened"

What is the kingdom of heaven? The abode of Spirit the realm of the real no matter is there no night is thereRev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. no sorrow all tears are wiped awayRev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. nothing is there that maketh or worketh a lieRev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life. . Is this kingdom afar off? No it is here everpresent but the personal senses say it is not here and that matter is the irrealm of mind and that there is something beside Him and the first that declares against this Kingdom of heaven is matter and sShall that we be called heresy which pleads for Spirit, the all of God and not a part, which maintains his omnipotence and omnipresence against the lie of the senses and the false education of the schools, which casts out the leaven of error that would leaven the whole lump of being as with sin sickness and death and would casts in the little leaven of Truth so that [?] Unclear or illegible  man's being may be found Truth lLife and lLove are leavened by it.

The kingdom of heaven is the reign of divine science, the supremacy of harmony, it is a mental state and Jesus said "the kindgdom of heaven is already within you"Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. he taught us to pray "thy kingdom comeMatt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Weare do not to look [?] Unclear or illegible  into for death darkness for light death can never to usher in the dawn of science the spiritual facts of man's existence but we are to find them through Life and here and now. Then shall we learn that flesh doth not inform us of happiness "flesh and for kKnow ye not brethren that "flsesh and blood doth not inherit the kingdom of God"I Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: I Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. that breathes His presence and power casting out error and healing the sick and woman, the a spiritual idea, thattakes of the things of God and showeth them unto man the creature until the whole sense of being is spiritually leavened with Spirit. The three measures of meal are the material human sense of life substance and intelligence which saith I am sustained by bread, matter, instead of Mind which and the spiritual leaven, of divine science, changes this false sense giving into better views of life and which saith man's life is God and when this shall appear he shall be like unto him in gloryI John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. shall reflect the graces of Spirit and his sense of substance shall go up higher it shall be "the substance of things hoped for"Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. .

From the little said I hope you have seen that the science of mental healing needs to be understood that there are "false Christs that would deceive if possible the very elect"Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. instituting matter and its methods in place of God, Mind, and because thi [?] Unclear or illegible s mMind is not understood obeyed or demonstrated. but tThe supposition of a mortal mind is the foregone conclusion that there are of other minds than hHis; and that one mortal mind controlings another and mind one belief takinges the precedence of another belief and the stronger error castings out the weaker and takinges possessionof the body itself making the last state of that man worse than the firstLuke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. But this barbarism of today which method has nothing to do with the science of mental healing which science acquaints us with God only reveals the one perfect Mind and his unerring law while it denies all that is unlike Him giving neither place nor power to matter or mortal belief that turneth away from the only loving and true God having lords many and gods manyI Cor 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) I Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. for Mind is all here and hereafter seen through the divine lens of mental science that divides the rays of beauty into their original hues of sSpirit harmony holiness and immortality.
