"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand"II Tim 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

2 Timothy 4:6.

These are the hieroglyphics of DeityEditorial Note: Eddy calls flowers "hieroglyphs of Deity" on page 240 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.. Paul like his divine Master was a man of sorrowsIsa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Editorial Note: This passage has often been taken by Christians, including Mary Baker Eddy, to be a prophecy of Jesus.: throughout his apostleship we find him loosing his gravity towards sin.

We find him traveling all through Asia Minor visiting the churches: we read of the account of his bidding farewell to the church of Ephesus and he says to them when they wept at his departure "What mean ye to weep and to break my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." Acts 21:13. Although his journey would carry him through a region of beautiful sceneryAs Written:sceanery he was filled with sorrow. At Jerusalem he was taken and scourged for polluting the temple. He said to the high priest who commanded him to be smitten "God shall smite the thou whited wall for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law."Acts 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? He differed from the Master. Paul manifested self-confidence. Jesus let alone his defenseAs Written:defence of matter. Paul followed like a reformer that he was, meeting mankind on their own plane. His history must repeat itself. The Christian Scientist must follow in his footsteps. They must be ready to bear testimony for the hope that is within them, and begin by repeating the text "For I am now ready to be offered."II Tim 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. We have chosen who we will serve. Out of the furnace He has chosen us: are we ready to be offered. Have we chosen Life, Truth Love. Do we love God as well as we love health &c, if so we will forget all else, we will be ready when we lay down our duties here.

Are you willing to be offered, to become as a fool for Christ's sakeI Cor 4:10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised. . Take hold of Omnipotent power: can you come with authority to fight for its claim, and fight for humanity. Nothing but the lives of the prophets and apostles fight will help you. And now let us gird ourselves as Paul, because we cannot be understood if we speak in an unknown tongue. They don't understand us let them remain so and be patient.

We can possessAs Written:posess the power of spirit only as we cease to believe in an opposite power

Christian Science has come today as of old even the claim of man to be the image and likeness of God. Sin hides heaven, sickness prevents harmony in this Divine power the three in one we've our remedy for them all. There is before us this problem of life in matter: this Divine feature that God is Omnipotent: God is Life, Therefore the matter die, God is spirit therefore he destroys matter, and we have this almighty arm to help us work our way from the material to the spiritual.

There before us is sin sickness and death: Let us speak cannot now die therefore they who have mastered govern sin sickness & death. Is it only your material sen that seems beaten. there is not a law here that Deity has to master, reverseAs Written:revers your sense of power and take hold of Divine sense of power It is only when we leave the Principle of a phenomenon that we lose a true sense. Mind should utter itself and not matter, a sense of mans power in union with Deity: the idea will work togetherAs Written:togather with Deity. We should never separateAs Written:seperate ourselves from God, but say I am Deity's now andAs Written:an not annother'sAs Written:anothers, and you have the victory. Are you willing to let go the old for the new, if so are you ready to leave the old for the new.
