It also stated that the sermon was given extemporaneously and the magazine was "obliged to wait for a time of possible leisure for Mrs. Eddy to write it out herself for publication in the Journal."

O grave, where is thy victory? How were these immortal because true and mighty ideas won and glorified? Through suffering.

The historical portion of the scriptures are no more inspired or important than a history of the U.S. but the meaning of meanings is their spiritual signification which gives the true idea of God of Substance of Mind of Life Truth and Love and it was the man of sorrows and acquainted with griefIsa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Editorial Note: Jesus has often been described as "a man of sorrow and aquainted with grief." who gained this idea and through it wrought out the grand verities of being its present and eternal harmonies that understood heal the sick cast out evil raise the deadMatt 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. To doubt to deny or to misrepresent the personal character of the man Jesus To say of a verity I know not the I amEx 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. I am too sordid selfish and sensual to understand those opposite elements of character goodness self abnegation white robedAs Written:robebed purity and love But It is a sin against the holy Ghost a crime against divine science to doubt their presence in the principle of such revelation and demonstration as he gave to the world Who hath said take no thought what ye shall eatMatt 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Luke 12:22 ¶And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. it is a virtual denial of him and all it cost him to heal sickness and sin recommendAs Written:recomend [illegible] another God before the living power of Truth to heal We deny him Who said to the sick of palsy rise and walkLuke 5:23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? when we doubt the reasonableness of possibility of teachings to enable him who understands them to follow his example as the servant his Lord We deny him to assume that God wrought his greatest good for man over eighteen centuriesAs Written:centuris ago and then like Jacob lost his power to blessing mankind in all subsequent time

We deny him by concluding the age of the womanhood of God of Truth and love will not present the highestAs Written:higest idea of the Christ the Godhead bodily seen in the immaculate virgin birth of this idea

But most of all we deny him not to have on costly garments priestly robes when we enter the holy of holiesAs Written:holis to heal after the example of our master and speak to the people the glorious gospel of healing.

Reign

If we suffer we shall reign with him What is to reign with him To conquer the flesh all evil with him O the heightsAs Written:hights and depths of the imperishable bliss of sensualism lost and Soul found eye hath not see nor ear heard neither hath it entered into the affections of manI Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

To reign with him is to find put matter under our feet and reach aAs Written:an true sene of Spirits omnipotence and omnipresenceAs Written:omnpresence its unlimited power to heal all sickness sin & death its ever present good its joy unspeakable and fill of glory It is to reach and learn man's eternal harmony God's entirety the supremacy of and the nothingness of matter

O thou high and holy one whose cherubim and seraphim of Spirit with wisdom purity life holdeth guard at the altar of every contrite heart We know man with the low sense of the dull ages to behold in thee rest for the weary health home and heaven

So wilt thou give us grace and peace from God our Father and fellowship and communion with a divine sense of life be and abide with us evermore
