Matt. 22. 29.

Ye do greatly err not knowing the scripture nor the power of God.Matt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Let us consider
1st The great error of not understanding the spiritual meaningAs Written:meaing of the word

2nd What is the effect of this error?

3rd Is it the power of God that heals?

“Thou shalt have no other Gods before me”Ex 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Riches
How hardly shall they that etc again that put their trust in richesMark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

3 Healing
When Jesus healed the blind man at Bethsaida it reads--Mark 8. When he had spit on his eyes and put his hands on him he received his sightMark 8:23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. Mark 8:24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Matt. 9. The sick of palsyAs Written:palsey "“Thy sins are forgiven thee.”Matt 9:2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. "

Matt. 15. To the woman of Canaan Jesus said great is thy faith be it unto thee as thou wilt and her daughter was made wholeMatt 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Mark 5.As Written:Mat. 5th Touched the hem of his garment.Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

3. Mat. 17 Healeth the lunatic. “He rebuked the devil he came out of him and the child was made whole”Matt 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Mat. 8. We read he cast out the spirits with His word and healed all that were sickMatt 8:16 ¶When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

Raising the dead
“Lazarus I say unto thee come forth”John 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

What doctrine is this for with authority commandeth he the unclean spirits and they obey himMark 1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
