That articleEditorial Note: See "The Use of the Title 'Leader'" in the June 25, 1904 issue of the Christian Science Sentinel. in the SentinelEditorial Note: Christian Science Sentinel relative to Leadership, by the editor in chief, was grand but was too personal, and you are perpetuating the same mistake. The students should take the Manual more for their authority and not personalize so much. This would prevent As Written:pervent making me the target on all occasions and would establish a dignified defence on the basis of Principle and not personality. Mr. McLellan is doing well as an editor his progress is marked but as I have no moments now in which to write to him it were well for you to send this letter to him and have it understood that the editors and the Publication CommitteesEditorial Note: Committees on Publication of our denomination shall base their admonitions on the Manual, the Scriptures, and "Science And HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy"– and not found their public discussions on me. This would give less offense and tend to arouse the students to joint action and the readers and thinkers to ponder our great purpose.
