Ex 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Ex 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Ex 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Ex 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Dear Mr. Keene pardonnez moi for asking this favor. Will you return to me my first letterEditorial Note: See L09543 to you, and permit (after the manner of my pencilling) a change in your bookEditorial Note: Keene had written a manuscript titled "Christian Science and Its Enemies." Eddy initially endorsed it after some excerpts were shared with her. However, after reading the full article she found that other parts were not in line with a Biblical view of how to treat one's enemies and asked that he tone down some of his attacks in the article.? If so the Christian Scientists will give it a big boom. The book now is so unlike our modus of meeting our enemies we cannot adopt it consistently. If your book is toned down as aforesaid then send me 1000 copies.
