My dear Students

Mr Frye has copyrighted my bookEditorial Note: Miscellaneous Writings, 1883-1896 by Mary Baker Eddy as if it were published in Concord. So you must issue 25 copies under that copyright. Then I will lodge in Spofford's hands (the LibrarianEditorial Note: Librarian of Congress) two of those copies and this secures copyright and you can go on with your next edition of 1000 copies. After that I advise printing 3000 books for the 3rd edition. Remember the above directions.

There will be a great demand for this book. The proofreadersAs Written:proof readers must work faster or the agreement they will break I have had three sets of the same proofs sent me. This must be stopped Send only one set of the same proofs and get out no more henceforth, unless I order them over my own signature. Poor good Mr. Frye torments me, but "the spirit is willingMatt 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. "

May God give me grace and strength to meet it all.

With love mother
