My precious student,

I was glad to read your sober resolves and know as I do the strength of your character and the power and grace of God which are able to keep you in the path of righteousnessPs 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Accept my thanks for your pretty oriental SouvenirEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy often received Christmas gifts from her students, and this is likely a reference to one.. But please tell us how to use it, Martha is puzzled. May the dear Love give you every needed joy and blessing this New Year. Oh for the outpouring of His spirit in meekness, unity and practice of Christian Science, on my dear children this A.D. 1894 As Written: 1849 in which we build the Temple dedicate to our God wherein I shall hope to meet with my children all, once each year. Beware of the visionary fabulous idealism that the enemy is sowing in the thoughts of some of my students. Confine yourself to what is written of the Word and neither add nor diminishRev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. , then you are safe from being misled With thanks, give much love to Mrs. Clarke

With worlds of love
Ever yours
