The divine teachings to me this morning I must send to you at once.

When I first named Church ManualEditorial Note: Church Manual I did not realize the scope of the title. My purpose included nothing more than a pamphlet containing the Church Rules and By-laws and other matter that is already published in a Church circular. But you commenced a Manual proper. The idea pleased me and I procured for you my vision of years bygone. This morning I am turned backward and taught by God to let the dead bury the deadLuke 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Matt 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. and have no resurrection until the last trumpet shall soundI Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, I Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. . By this I mean I have been led to see that now is not the time to recapitulate the Church history. The field is far from fit for this harvest. I was sensible the church history could not be given in full without doing much harm.

"Blessed are the peacemakersMatt 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. ". Where no talebearer is the strife ceasethProv 26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. . Have no more Sunday services after July 6th till the first Sunday in Sept. The summary of my letter is neither write nor compile any more of the Church history. Just have a little preface and a pamphlet giving Rules and By-laws of the Church and what is already published in your circular. Drop your Manual.

What you have gathered into ManuscriptsAs Written:Mss. of Church history is not lost but a little treasure laid away in your Church vault or iron safe there to remain like the contents of the CornerstoneAs Written:Corner stone till God calls for it, which maybeAs Written:may be never.

My present impressions are that Christian Scientists are making material history and evil altogether too real. The ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science teaches that those have no reality whatever.

As I have said before Tell Mr. Johnson to collect all The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rules and By-laws and only those which belong to this church and have been made under the new charter and your Church circular put them together in one package and send them to me at once. Then I will do my part and return them to you for immediate publication.
