Beloved Student:

I thank you for your dear lettersEditorial Note: See 165B.28.011, 165B.28.010, 165B.28.012 and 165B.28.013 and wanted to say this sooner but could not in my broken up state of moving.

I am glad to be near you, but fear you will not be entertained As Written: entertaind by this desire alone. I came here for quiet, and not to build up a cause. I only desire now to be friendly with all denominations religious, ― to wish them all blessed – and to drop quietly out of the arena of strife. I was sorry to disappoint the good people in ConcordEditorial Note: Concord, New Hampshire. But, I hope now only to have my giving and goodwillAs Written:good will expressed in a homelife As Written: home-life and to give up a public As Written: bublic life as fast as possible

Express my sincere love to your family and accept a large share yourself.

Please tell all inquirers that I am here for a retirement and not for public work; and I love all the religious denominations for their good motives and shall respect them.
