I am very sorry to hear of the bad state of things in DenverEditorial Note: Denver, Colorado owing to the unchristian conduct reported to me of those claiming to be students of Christian Science who are giving you so much trouble.

I have just receivedAs Written:rec'd a letterEditorial Note: See 401.51.007 from Mr. Donehue that I consider unreasonable in its requirements As Written: requirments of me. It was in compliance with a letter of his that I put that passage in your Certificates relating to restrictions on teaching Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. And now he wants them those restrictions removed and I have just gotten on hand several thousand of these Certificates to accommodate As Written: accomodate sudden calls for them. He wishes the C. S. Jour to give public notices that would conflict with my Certificates and this will not answer. When you think it best for the CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. to teach pupils for less than $100Editorial Note: $100 in 1887 is equivalent to $3,379.49 in 2025. you have my full permission to do it as an exception to the general standard price. If your sister is a better teacher than others that I have had only in a Normal Class let her teach. Do all that is for the honor of Christ Love to your family.
