My dear Student,

Mrs. Crosse told me she had heard from you and that you did not receive my last letter. This I regretted for if I recalled right there was important advice in it, and I know it answered your questions, and you must have thought strange that I did not reply to them. Mrs. Crosse promised to let you know this and so I have waited to write myself when I had the opportunity. Now my dear girl I am a little anxious over that indication, for if you have not got my letter, or if you have, after a delay the "Mals" have done it and so are lying in wait to injure you. Now dear, defeat them by a home guard; watch yourself and if your thoughts and motives and aims are not just right you can know that and banish every error. Your present office is very responsible and if the enemy do as they have done for years past they will try to make you dishonorAs Written:dishon it. Now guard all human passions, be pure, be calm, be strong in the LordEph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ever your true friend
