The more I think of it (when I do think of it) the more marvelous seems this latest move that you are about to inaugurate for the good of our CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. that is so dear to your heart, the "Christian Science Association of Home and Foreign Missions." This is entirely unlike making a will, for after transferring whatever you decide of your property in trust to this organization you in reality make them have the care of it, and are free at any time to call on them for whatever money you need for your own use, even if you should remain with us fifty years more. There need be no death thought whatever connected with this transaction but life and good works, and the pleasure of knowing that you provided the means for accomplishing it, without being under any obligations of having the care of it, (unless you desire at any time of directing its movements). Also if you think at any time things are going wrong with the organization you retain the right to revoke your trust.
As I understand it, this organization is not in any way to supercede the Mother Church, but to be a coworker with The First Church of Christ, Scientist — The Mother Church — at Boston, MassachusettsAs Written:Mass. I know that for many years you have desired to bring about some such an aid to our Cause, but it would seem the time was not ripe for it, and not until February 1907 did the way unfold itself to you to accomplish this much needed object.
